Recently approved by The Boulder County Planning Commission, this Buddhist Meditation Center is being developed on a rural 35-acre site in east Boulder with stunning views to the Rocky Mountains. The site will include two buildings; the main sanctuary building and an associated residential monastery. In addition, the landscape will be curated to incorporate an outdoor walking meditation garden, water detention basins, ornamental entry garden, an orchard, and other elements that aim to protect the existing wetlands and enhance the current ecology.

Tasked with creating spaces that reflect Chinese zen mentality, Marpa is pursuing these ideals through planting, symbology, and movement through the site.

Marpa is thrilled to be a part of the team that includes Sopher Sparn Architects, JVA Engineering, Birch Ecology, Boulder Engineering, and more.
